Shapefile map specifications:

The map must be composed of closed regions without self-intersections. Specifically, each region is an independent closed polygonal curve.

A region can have any number of inner (closed) regions.

Multiple regions can have the same label; but if they are children, they must belong to the same mother region;

Regions labels must end with letters.
